Cracked
Last night, after seeing my university’s production of Rent, my closest buddy on campus dragged me downtown for a couple of drinks. I had a few too many Rum and Cokes, with her encouragement, on a far too empty stomach.
After saying more than I could have ever imagined saying about myself to my friend, after a late night drunken call to my best bro, and after a text or two to my first ever real crush, I crashed. Today, I’ve done nothing but sleep, trying to get the feelings I’m feeling both mentally and physically to go away.
My first hangover, my first drunk phone call, my first drunken set of texts. There’s a first for everything, right?
Life’s about learning experiences. This is one experience I could have managed to go without but, at the same time, I’m okay with having experienced it.
I’ve “lived and learned” or, maybe more appropriately, “learned while living balls to the wall” for once.
