I Can’t Decide…

…which article to use for a presentation I’m doing on Tuesday. All three of them are from the Middle School Journal; all three of them have things worth discussing.

  1. Controversial Books in the Middle School: Can They Make a Difference?
  2. Creating a Shared Definition of Good and Bad Writing Through Revision Strategies
  3. Popular Music Helps Students Focus on Important Social Issues

My heart is telling me to use the first one, while my brain has come up with a really cool activity for the second. The third is almost too much of a gimme to use and some of my cohortians have sort of already touched on the topic.

I can probably already guess which one you guys would chose, but I’ll ask anyway- which article sounds the most interesting based on their title alone?

  1. folkinz answered: 3 sounds more fun, but I would go with 1.
  2. sincerelykimbui answered: #1!
  3. indieandyy answered: Pop music on social issues, though i’m skeptical about that truth… good v bad writing seems more legit and worthwhile
  4. fusedreality answered: I’d have to go with your heart. #1.
  5. lacyribbons answered: 1 !!!! :D
  6. padude answered: I’m gonna go with 1. I think middle school is a good time to start pushing independent thicking and analyzing.
  7. julyshewillfly answered: 1
  8. thatchman1 answered: 3 definitely. Music has helped me make it through tough times far more than books.
  9. qisto answered: I’d say, go for #2.
