Every weekday my college emails everyone on campus a list of student submitted announcements; the powers that be call it “The Student Digest.”
This past Tuesday there were two announcements that caught my eye. The first one read:
=========
Subject: FOUND DOG | From: “Anna”
-Found at The … clubhouse on Friday, September 12, 2008. -Small with mostly black hair. Some tan and white hair on its belly. -Multicolored, woven collar. -Appears well-trained.
If you’ve lost a dog or know someone who has, please give me a call … .

The very next announcement read:
=========

I am offering a cash reward for information leading to finding my dog. He’s 7 y/o old ,mixed Chiwawa, mostly black with few shades of brown around his neck and limbs.He wears a blue tag around his neck.He was last seen on Friday , 09/12/08,at 3:30pm, around West … st, near … village.He’s very very friendly and he responds to DRU. I dunno. I just thought it was funny that these two announcments followed each other. If I had to bet money on it, I’d say the missing dog has been found.
The power of these crazy internets, ech?
