“TIME” has compiled a list of the top ten most challenged books of all times.

  1. Candide - Voltaire
  2. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn - Mark Twain
  3. Brave New World - Aldous Huxley
  4. 1984 - George Orwell
  5. The Catcher in the Rye - J.D. Salinger
  6. Lolita - Vladmir Nabokov
  7. I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings - Maya Angelou
  8. The Anarchist Cookbook - William Powell
  9. The Satanic Verses - Salman Rushdie
  10. Harry Potter Series - J.K. Rowling

I think I’m going to make a commitment to myself to read all of the books on this list that I haven’t yet.

I’m honestly embarrassed to admit that I haven’t read the majority of them- Brave New World, 1984, The Catcher in the Rye, Lolita, I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings, The Anarchist Cookbook, and The Satanic Verses; some of which I’ve always wanted to; all of which look amazing.
