Melissa Etheridge - Christmas in America
(Track 5 / IMSvsIMS’ Festive Five / 2008)

I might catch some flack for posting this as my fifth and final Festive Five track, but I think it’s an amazing song. Given the times we live in, I think it’s incredibly relevant as well.

Thanks for making my first few months on Tumblr memorable. Have a safe and happy Christmas everyone!

The Bird and The Bee - Carol of the Bells
(Track 4 / IMSvsIMS’ Festive Five / 2008)

Carol of the Bells is the second of my two favorite Christmas songs. This, the fourth track of my Festive Five, is an incredibly unique arrangement of said song.

Merry Christmas Eve!

Rob Thomas - A New York Christmas
(Track 3 / IMSvsIMS’ Festive Five / 2008)

My third Festive Five track is an original charity single written and preformed by Rob Thomas.

It was originally released in 2002 with proceeds benefiting the Blythedale Children’s Hospital. In 2003 it was rereleased for an organization known as Pets Alive in NYC.

The Fray - Happy Xmas (War is Over)
(Track 2 / IMSvsIMS’ Festive Five / 2008)

Continuing on with my Festive Five, I had to include one of my two favorite Christmas songs; this is one of the two.

Jason Mraz ft. Tristan Prettyman - All I Want for Christmas is Us
(Track 1 / IMSvsIMS’ Festive Five / 2008)

Since it’s my first Christmas here on Tumblr, I thought I would do something special. From now until Christmas Day, for five days total, I will post a Holiday track for all to enjoy. I shall call it, my ‘Festive Five.’

Now, I’ll be the first person to admit that I’m not a huge fan of how “traditional” Christmas music sounds. (Hearing Bing Crosby sing Winter Wonderland just doesn’t ring my bell.) That being said, the songs I’m going to post are either going to be updates of classic tunes or, like today’s track, completely original.

I’ve already made my list and checked it twice. Maybe my Tumblr buddies, or whomever might read this, can take part as well.

Oh, and, if you like the song enough, email me and I’ll share it with you. (I missed out on all of the Secret Santa goodness and would love to share.)

I’ve done enough rambling. Enjoy, yo.
